Rise Against
Rise Against is an American punk rock/hardcore punk band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 1999.
The band spent its first five years signed to the independent record label Fat Wreck Chords, on which it released two studio albums, The Unraveling and
Revolutions per Minute. Then they moved to The Blasting Room and released four more albums, Siren Song of the Counter Culture, The Sufferer and the Witness, Appeal to
Reason and Endgame.
The band is known for its political lyrics and activism, actively promotes animal rights and all members are straight edge (excluding Barnes), PETA supporters and vegetarians.
